The world is filled with pain, grief, agony, shame, and sorrow. Yet, beyond that wall of corruption, the world is also filled with light, color, music, wonderful dialogues and magnificent wonders forged everywhere. Inspiring works and beautiful creations are infinite, yet many will fall among the fate of ashes and dust. Thus far, this is how I view life.
Hello everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog! I’m very new to it, and after spending a great amount of time considering whether or not to start my own blog, I am glad that I taking my first step into this journey! Coming to the conclusion that I can not be a perfectionist, and that I can only improve myself and my writing skills by taking these new steps. I do feel a sense of accomplishment for getting this far, but there is still much more for me to do here.
So the purpose of this blog is to express my interests and research from history, cultures around the world, music, film arts, literature, poetry, and other material that will help maintain my focus on writing. The study of history and various cultures has been a great passion of mine since I was in high school, and I’m just thankful that it is still strong today! Some of my favorite topics from the past are centered around the Napoleonic Era (1799-1815), the days of the Achaemenid Empire (First Persian Empire), the First and Second World Wars, and studying the life of the common folk from different countries around the world. The “village life” aspect has always been fascinating to me. Therefore, it was very important for me to pay close attention to the effects that wars, revolutions, or social/economic changes had on the commoners because they were generally the first to suffer before they could benefit. Overall, I love history. Most of my future posts will cover historical based topics.
Reading books and watching movies provide so much for my imaginations along with new materials to research on. I love anything that focuses on down-to-earth studies, and the reality of life. My favorite author of all time is Fyodor Dostoyevsky (1821-1881), whom was a Russian philosopher, theologian, novelist, and just an overall amazing writer! I was inspired so much by his works, and more so inspired to write on a daily basis. Some of my favorite movies of all time are foreign films. It is always a treat by listening to other people speak a foreign language, but above all most of the plots are brilliant, and thought provoking. The cinematography, music, and practicality are generally just so amazing. Overall, it is all done with such excellence and dedication! In the future, I’ll do some review/analysis on certain books, and movies that really stood out to me.
I hope to accomplish my goals with this blog, and I hope you all enjoy the content as well. If anyone has any sort of feedback with ideas, discussions, or corrections to point out then please feel free to comment! I’ll be sure to write my next post either tomorrow or in the next few days regarding a certain topic that’s been on my mind.
Best regards,
Toxic Scribe
